I'm Claudia, and every Tree Lamp I make begins the same way: with a piece of driftwood that catches my eye. I've always loved the imperfect shapes nature creates, the bends, knots, textures and little marks that make a piece of wood completely impossible to reproduce. I started turning these branches into standing lamps because I wanted lighting to feel like more than something functional. I wanted it to become part of the room itself: a piece of sculpture, a little bit of nature, and something that instantly makes a space feel warmer and more personal. The result is my Tree Lamp, a handmade floor lamp standing at approximately 2 metres / 200 cm tall, designed for living rooms, bedrooms, studios and relaxed spaces where you want lighting with real character.
No two Tree Lamps will ever be the same
Every lamp is genuinely one of one. Driftwood never grows in identical shapes. One branch may twist dramatically to one side, another may have a beautiful fork near the top, while another may be straighter, rougher or filled with natural knots and markings. I keep those differences rather than hiding them. The wooden base is also individually chosen and shaped for each lamp. Because every branch has a different centre of gravity, the size, shape and positioning of the base may vary slightly so the finished lamp remains stable while preserving the natural form of the wood. This means the Tree Lamp you receive will not be a factory-perfect copy of another lamp. It will be your Tree Lamp: a completely individual piece made from a branch that exists only once.
Made for a warm, boho home
Natural timber, twisted rope and warm light give the Tree Lamp its relaxed boho / handmade / coastal character. I especially love it beside a sofa, a reading chair, or in an empty corner where a normal floor lamp might disappear into the background. The Tree Lamp does the opposite. It gives that corner a reason to exist. It works beautifully with natural interiors, linen, jute rugs, woven furniture, neutral colours, plants and handmade pieces, and it can also add warmth and texture to a more minimal space.
Light, shadow and sculpture
Each lamp is built around a naturally shaped piece of driftwood. I carefully follow the form of the branch rather than trying to force it into a perfect shape, wrapping thick natural rope around the wood and guiding it upward toward the light. The rope becomes part of the design itself, winding organically around the branch and connecting the lighting elements to the handcrafted shade above. When the lamp is switched on, the shade casts a warm, textured glow around the room, while the wood and rope create soft shadows against the walls. During the day it works as a sculptural piece of décor. At night it becomes a warm ambient light. It's that combination that I love most: part lamp, part art object, part piece of nature.
Handmade details
Each lamp features approximately 200 cm / 2 metres in height, a naturally shaped one-of-a-kind driftwood branch, hand-wrapped natural rope, a handcrafted hanging lamp shade, and warm ambient lighting designed to create beautiful shadows and texture. The wooden base is selected around the branch's centre of gravity. Natural variations in wood grain, knots, shape and colour are part of the piece. Lighting components are suitable for EU use, with US/UK outlet adapters included. Everything is carefully packed together in one box.
A little assembly, then it's yours
Because of the Tree Lamp's size and natural shape, your lamp will arrive carefully packed in one box and will require some assembly once it reaches you. The components are designed to fit together simply, while still allowing me to safely package and protect each handmade piece during shipping. And because every branch, curve, knot and base is different, those small variations are not imperfections. They are exactly what make each lamp special.
